The workshop is a high bay design, with natural lighting, an overhead crane, a test tank for ROV function tests and tooling trials and a wash-down station. To ensure year-round comfort, passive temperature control has been integrated into the design of the workshop; it has been insulated, and designed to vent warm air in summer whilst providing a comfortable working temperature in winter.
The overhead crane is rated to 20T with a floor to hook height of 10m and 5m top of tank to hook. This height allows safe movement of equipment within the workshop area and for loading onto and off of trucks which enables Tamboritha personnel to load and unload trucks during mobilisations in a safe and time-efficient manner, regardless of the weather conditions.
To enable washing down of our equipment, there is a high pressure water wash-down area complete with a Water Corporation approved oily water separator to manage waste water returns. This is also fed from the rainwater tanks to reduce the impact on the environment.
To enable pre-mobilisation wet tests of ROVs. FATs and in-water testing of client equipment, Tamboritha installed a 6 x 4m test tank, more information can be found on the Test Tank page
