Tamboritha was established in Victoria in 1988 by Wayne Ham to provide contracted services to Esso BHP in Bass Strait.
In 1990 Tamboritha relocated to Perth to better service the rapidly expanding oil and gas industry on the Northwest shelf and Timor Sea; and to extend its operational reach into South-East Asia.
Initially, Tamboritha was focused on underwater engineering consultancy including platform and pipeline re-certification, standardisation of diver based inspection methodologies and the application of new technologies including remotely operated vehicles. By 1995 Tamboritha had expanded in term of personnel and had developed a clear understanding of the benefits of integrated services delivery, including project management, marine vessels, ROVs, diving, survey, installation engineering, inspection data base management, flooded member detection and instrumented rotary drilling technology for the benefit of customers in the offshore oil and gas industry.
In 2012, Tamboritha moved into a custom built office / workshop facility in the Australian Marine Complex, Henderson, WA. This modern facility streamlines operations and actively contributes to the delivery of services on an integrated basis.
